Commercial Filter Coffee Machines

Reliable, cost-efficient and extremely easy to operate, filter coffee machines deliver consistent, high volume black coffee. When paired with a coffee grinder to grind fresh beans for each batch on-demand, you can create deliciously aromatic coffee that can be self-served or served by front of house staff, with no mess or downtime.  Filter coffee machines are designed for high volume usage, providing a quality, no fuss cup of black coffee that can be personalised by the end-user with milk and sugar. Ideal for commercial catering settings such as self-service breakfast buffets, canteens, conferences and events.

Benefits of Filter Coffee Machines

Filter coffee machines offer a cost-effective solution to brewing large volumes of deliciously aromatic fresh black coffee. Some filter coffee machines include a hot plate to maintain the temperature of the coffee, whilst others include insulated urns for storage. Filter coffee machines can also be used to brew tea and other herbal infusions.

Frequently Asked Questions

The brewing process begins by placing ground coffee into a disposable filter paper, which is then placed into the designated coffee compartment at the top of the machine.  The filter coffee machine then heats water from a manual fill or mains fed tank to just shy of boiling point, before evenly dispersing it through the coffee grounds. Unlike a traditional espresso machine, a filter coffee machine uses gravity, rather than pressure, to push the hot water through the coffee.

Filter coffee machines require ground coffee beans to brew coffee. You can use pre-ground coffee or, for optimum taste and aroma you can grind fresh beans yourself using a commercial coffee grinder. When grinding coffee beans for a filter coffee machine we recommend a medium grind. If the grind is too coarse then the coffee will be too weak, too fine and it could taste bitter.

The best filter coffee machine for your business really depends on your volume requirements. Small cafes and offices only need a basic compact machine such as the Marco Bru F45, whilst conference venues and hotels will require a high-volume machine such as the Marco Maxibrew.
