Angus Pooley

With Liquidline since 2003, Angus moved into Operations in 2023, bringing 20 years of company knowledge.

He focuses on operational excellence, overseeing Engineering, Logistics, and Warehouse functions, and fostering communication across departments. His leadership ensures punctual installations, quick issue resolution, and consistently high customer satisfaction.

Installations & Repairs

Professional installation and repair services with on-site customer training.

Preventive Maintenance

Annual servicing, testing, filter changes, and sanitisation to ensure equipment longevity.

Training & Technical Support

Offering comprehensive training and ongoing technical support for internal teams and customers.

Our Finance division, headed by Finance Director Karen Morphew, is split into four specialist areas:

Financial PlanningOverseeing performance reporting, budget creation, forecasting, statutory obligations (VAT/Corporation Tax), and financial audits.

Transitional FinanceManaging accounts receivable and payable, employee expense claims, and company credit card processes.

Credit ManagementSetting and monitoring credit limits, managing payment terms, and handling overdue customer invoices.

CARECoordinating equipment, contracts, and invoice setups post-installation, resolving invoice disputes, and managing account or contract amendments across the group.

Financial Director

Karen Morphew

Karen joined Liquidline in January 2023 as our Financial Controller before progressing to lead the finance function.

A CIMA-qualified professional with nearly three decades of experience, Karen has worked in senior finance roles for several large corporate organisations, often heading finance departments and overseeing strategic financial operations.

Her responsibilities span the full finance scope, from budgeting and forecasting to reporting and external audits, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and a forward-looking approach to planning.

Since joining, Karen has streamlined processes, improved governance, and introduced growth-focused strategies. She is passionate about mentoring junior team members, guiding them through professional qualifications, and creating a culture of continuous development.

Karen fully embodies our company values and is dedicated to driving the finance department forward for the benefit of our customers, suppliers, stakeholders, and employees.

Credit Management

Ensuring customer payment terms are upheld, queries are resolved quickly, and any issues regarding invoices are addressed efficiently.

Financial Transactions

Accurately recording supplier and customer transactions, processing supplier payments, managing customer direct debits, applying receipts, reconciling accounts, reissuing invoices when required, and handling employee expenses.

Financial Reporting

Producing monthly management accounts, conducting financial analysis to support decision-making, managing internal controls, and overseeing external audits and statutory reporting.

Our in-house IT team maintains our systems and networks while providing hands-on assistance through our internal service desk. They install, repair, and configure hardware and software to meet business needs, while diagnosing and resolving technical issues efficiently.

The department also includes our talented Web Developers, who create and refine digital tools that improve employee workflows and meet business objectives. They consistently deliver projects on time and ensure all systems perform optimally.

IT Director

Matthew Pooley

Matt ensures our IT infrastructure aligns with business goals and reflects Liquidline’s values of innovation and smart working. He has a passion for building systems that make life easier for both our teams and customers.

Matt manages two key areas: the IT support team, who handle daily hardware and software demands, and our web/software developers, who create tools such as our internal quoting system, company websites, and the My Account Portal. The Portal has been a major focus for Matt, evolving through multiple development stages to enhance the customer experience.

Systems Development

Designing and managing internal systems including logistics tools, online platforms, and business apps.

Software & Hardware Support

Delivering technical assistance to staff, ensuring all devices and applications are fit for purpose.

Network Maintenance

Maintaining stable communication networks across all sites and supporting field-based staff with connectivity.

Liquidline’s Marketing department is responsible for building and protecting our brand identity, managing lead generation via our online channels, and producing marketing materials to support sales and customer engagement.

Our Graphic Designers create visual brand guidelines used across our website and social platforms, producing everything from brochures and spec sheets to branded stickers and gifts.

Digital marketing is central to our strategy, with the team managing paid advertising, search engine optimisation, social media activity, and email campaigns to grow our presence and strengthen customer relationships.

With over 20 years of experience, Katherine has worked with leading global brands, launched businesses into new markets, and driven rapid growth for established companies.

Holding a Post Graduate Diploma from the Chartered Institute of Marketing and over 12 years at board level, Katherine specialises in customer-focused strategic planning, direct and multi-channel marketing, and ROI analysis.

At Liquidline, she applies her expertise to guide the marketing team in delivering strategies that meet business goals while enhancing the customer journey.

Lead Generation

Driving sales through website optimisation, SEO, and social media engagement.

Brand Management

Developing and maintaining Liquidline’s brand identity in both visuals and messaging.

Graphic Design

Producing creative marketing collateral, including brochures, leaflets, and promotional materials.

Our Operations department, the largest at Liquidline, covers the entire UK. Our highly skilled Engineers install and maintain machines, ensuring customers are always left with a hot drink and a smile.

The Logistics team plans engineer routes for first-time-right installations and repairs, while the Warehouse team ensures accurate stock fulfilment. The Workshop team handles pre-delivery inspections, and the Parts team keeps essential components in stock for field service.

Our People & Culture department oversees recruitment, onboarding, employee wellbeing, and professional development. They provide internal WOW service by being approachable and proactive while managing both strategy and daily HR operations.

They also draft company policies, advise on career progression, and handle sensitive HR matters with confidentiality and care.

Our procurement department plays a vital role in supporting business performance, resilience and sustainable growth. Evolving beyond traditional purchasing, the team focuses on strategic procurement, strong supplier partnerships and proactive commercial risk management to support customers and operations nationwide.

Working closely with teams across Liquidline, they provide insight-led support that carefully balances cost, quality and service. The department oversees supplier selection and consolidation, commercial and contract management, stock strategy and performance governance across a broad product range, including coffee machines, consumables, spare parts and accessories.

Supply chain optimisation and continuous improvement sit at the heart of the function. Through structured supplier performance reviews, forward-looking market insight and risk mitigation, procurement helps ensure continuity of supply while remaining future-focused.

Emma is Head of Procurement at Liquidline, leading the evolution of the function from tactical purchasing into a strategic, commercially driven department. With a background spanning manufacturing, supply chain governance and supplier-led organisations, Emma brings a highly structured, process-focused approach to procurement.

Emma’s background includes working with brands across both direct and indirect procurement, covering supplier performance management, logistics and planning, warehousing, stock optimisation and commercial risk mitigation.

Since joining Liquidline, Emma has focused on strengthening supplier relationships, introducing robust performance measurement and positioning procurement as a trusted commercial partner across the business. She is passionate about continuous improvement, building and refining procurement ways of working, and overall aiming for greater clarity and structure to help support the wider business.

Emma is a strong advocate for collaboration and talent development, believing that high-performing teams are essential to long-term success. Her focus is on delivering meaningful value while supporting sustainable growth.

With nearly 20 years at Kafevend (later Eden Springs), where he oversaw 100,000+ machines and £52m in revenue, John brings unmatched industry expertise. His approach has been key to Liquidline’s rapid expansion, particularly in securing a dominant share of the automotive sector.
